Dr. Joanne Fagervik

VETERINARIAN

Dr. Joanne is a dedicated veterinarian who brings decades of experience and a passion for patient care to our clinic. She graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1987 and has since built a respected career in veterinary medicine, with a special interest in surgery.

Before joining our team, Dr. Joanne was the owner of Forest Veterinary Clinic, where she provided compassionate, high-quality care to the community for many years. Her calm approach, strong surgical skills, and commitment to animal well-being continue to be valued by both clients and colleagues.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Joanne enjoys travelling with her partner, Mark, and spending time with her beloved miniature dachshunds, who hold a very special place in her heart.

Dr. Terry Boys

VETERINARIAN

Dr. Terry is a dedicated veterinarian and a graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College, Class of 1978. With decades of experience in veterinary medicine, Dr. Terry brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and commitment to every patient and client he serves.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Terry shares his life with his wife, Karen, and enjoys spending time with their four grandchildren. He has a deep passion for organic farming and can often be found caring for his cows and chickens or tending to crops. This hands-on connection to agriculture and animal care reflects his lifelong respect for animals, the land, and sustainable practices.

Dr. Terry’s blend of professional expertise and real-world farming experience makes him a trusted and valued member of the veterinary community.

Gillian

OFFICE MANAGER

Gillian joined us as Practice Administrator in the fall of 2017. She has a passion for Bernese Mountain Dogs and Dressage horses and is currently awaiting the arrival of a new puppy! She is an AHT (Animal Health Technologist) Additionally, she has been working in the veterinary field for over 25 years. Gillian is a Certified Veterinary Hospital Manager. Thus, her job is to ensure that the hospital runs smoothly and provides the highest quality service. She comes from a diverse background ranging from employment in the veterinary industry, including large, small, equine, and corporate practices, to working in the private sector in a human resources/OSHA capacity. In 1999 Gillian decided to hang up her scrubs and continue her career in veterinary management. Gillian has been especially helpful in promoting best practices and animal advocacy in our clinics.

During her free time Gillian enjoys spending time at her cottage in the Muskokas and participating with her dogs in obedience. She also spends time visiting seniors through the therapy dog program. Gillian feels especially fortunate to have been able to incorporate her love of animals into a career.

Courtney

REGISTERED VETERINARY TECHNICIAN

Courtney is a Registered Veterinary Technician at the Tillsonburg Veterinary Centre, where she has been a valued member of the team since January 2018. She graduated from Ridgetown College in 2005 and brings many years of hands-on experience and dedication to patient care.

Courtney is passionate about supporting both pets and their owners, with a strong focus on compassionate, high-quality veterinary care. She takes pride in helping animals feel comfortable and safe during their visits and enjoys being part of a collaborative clinic environment.

Outside of work, Courtney lives in Tillsonburg with her partner, Jeff, their two children, and their cat, Timon. When she’s not at the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family and sharing her home with her beloved feline companion.

Kristie

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Kristie is a valued member of the Tillsonburg Veterinary Centre team, where she has worked as a Veterinary Receptionist since August 2022. As the first friendly face clients see when they walk through the door, Kristie is dedicated to creating a welcoming, supportive experience for both pets and their owners.

Outside of the clinic, Kristie enjoys spending time with her husband, Jeff, and their two daughters. Her home is happily shared with three Standard Poodles—Grace, Howey, and Peanut, who keep life fun and full of energy. Kristie’s love for animals and people shines through in everything she does, making her an important part of the Tillsonburg Veterinary Centre family.

Marie

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Marie is one of the friendly faces you’ll meet at the front desk of Tillsonburg Veterinary Centre. She has been a valued veterinary receptionist with the clinic since 2019 and brings a wealth of experience to the team, having started her career in veterinary medicine in 1984.

At home, Marie is kept company by her two beloved cats. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active by riding horses, going for runs, and spending time in nature. Her long-standing passion for animals and dedication to client care help ensure every visit to the clinic is a welcoming one.

Melissa

VETERINARY ASSISTANT

Melissa is a dedicated Veterinary Assistant at the Tillsonburg Veterinary Centre, where she has been a valued member of the team since June 2025. She has been working in veterinary medicine since 2018 and brings several years of hands-on experience, compassion, and a strong commitment to patient care.

Melissa has a deep love for animals of all kinds. At home, she shares her life with two Dobermans, Paisley and Rebel, a senior Toy Poodle named Tyson, and a lively flock of Silkie chickens. Her passion for animal care extends beyond small animals, as she also has a strong appreciation and enthusiasm for horses.

Known for her calm nature and genuine care for both pets and their owners, Melissa is proud to support the health and well-being of every patient she works with and enjoys being part of a team that treats animals like family.

Sizzle

Clinic Dog / Greeter

Sizzle is our beloved official clinic dog and enthusiastic front-desk greeter. This friendly Australian Shepherd is always ready to welcome clients with a wagging tail and a warm smile.

Sizzle has a big personality and an even bigger love for treats—especially vegetables and fruits! When she’s not greeting visitors, she enjoys car rides, cozy sleepovers with her poodle and dachshund friends, and spending time with her favorite people, including her two-legged sister and her aunts.

Always happy to make new friends, Sizzle brings comfort, joy, and a little extra cheer to everyone who walks through our clinic doors. 🐾
